The Director of Business Development is a results-driven individual responsible for driving quality leads and referrals that result in move ins and overall census growth. Will promote branding, community events and build referral partnerships that provide a win-win for all parties. 


Marketing and Sales

  • Organizes, coordinates and oversees all Community marketing efforts and outreach programs
  • Drives business development relationships at major accounts in the assigned markets, including hospitals, physican practices and C_Suite contacts that produce quality leads and move ins.  
  • Plans, organizes and implements a quarterly referral business plan and marketing plan.

Brand Management

  • Promotes the brand with confidence and fluency.
  • Establishes and maintains a consistent product image.
  • Represents company at trade shows.

Data Analysis

  • Ensures market research and commensurate strategies.
  • Ensures competitor data is monitored and analyzed.
  • Reviews accounts, sales calls, referrals and move ins from referrals weekly with Regional Director of Sales and Marketing and Community Sales Team.
  • Reviews and analyzes personal sales performance against established goals. 


  • Creates reports as required, including referral development plan, maintains account management calls, appointments and results in CRM.



Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • College Degree required, preferably in business or marketing
  • Proven sales skills and experience
  • Experience as Marketing Director in the long term care industry

Computer and Technology

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
  • Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Must have a vaild driver's license and a good driving record
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, flexible hours and travel locally and out of town as necessary. 



  • Frequent body movements including lifting, moving transferring, bending (static forward bending), stooping, squatting and reaching.  Able to do heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying of objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds unassisted with twisting and turning of trunk.


  • Because of the essential functions of the job may require general involvement in our health care facilities, including but not limited to exposure to AIDS, HIV and Hepatitis B viruses involving Risk Classification Categories 2 and 3, environmental and safety conditions will fluctuate.  To be qualified for the position, a person will have the ability to work in this type of environment without posing a direct threat to self or others.
